Valentine’s Day has long been criticised as a day where consumerism trumps what the day is meant to be about - love.
However, what if this year you can score some serious brownie points from your significant other and also end world hunger by 2030?
Sounds farfetched, right? Well, The Hunger Project ticks all these boxes this Valentine’s Day.
The charity, which has the aim of eliminating world hunger within the coming decades, has reserved some of the most sort after tables this February the 14th and all you have to do to score them is get clicking.
The tables, at restaurants such as Bennelong, Quay, Bodega, Momofuku, The Apollo and Manly’s The Pantry, just to name a few, are all listed on eBay with the eateries offering up extravagant dinners accompanied by wine for the winners. Many of the bids for the restaurants are currently sitting below what you would be forking out on the notoriously expensive night of love, so what are you waiting for?
All the proceeds from the auctions go to The Hunger Project’s goal, and there are tables available in all states and areas so get bidding. A romantic dinner for two that gives back, we can’t think of any better way to spend this Valentine’s Day.
